
STEVEN HIRSCH
Born in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in 1948, Steven Hirsch was raised near a mental institution, where he became captivated by the outpatients' psychotic ramblings, fostering his fascination with the darker facets of life. His eclectic career has encompassed roles as a street photographer, bouncer, taxi driver, and a rock & roll band manager. As a photographer for supermarket tabloids, he was known for capturing odd characters in even stranger situations. He currently earns his living as a photographer, focusing on New York's underworld of characters, scammers, and criminals for the New York Post.
An artist of multiple talents, Steven seamlessly blends painting and drawing with photography, enabling him to explore the interplay between reality and imagination.
