Roger Minick
Born in Ramona, Oklahoma, in 1944, Roger Minick spent his formative years (to age 11) in the Ozarks of Arkansas and his teenage years (to age 20) in Southern California, before settling in Northern California, where he became a photographer known for his early documentary work of the rural American Landscape, resulting in the books Delta West and Hills of Home. In later years, he has photographed more broadly, including projects on tourists (Sightseer), the American landscape (American Biographics), and the vernacular topography of Southern California (Southland). Most recently, he has self-published over three dozen books of his photography, three volumes of his poetry, and several books of his paintings.
