Daniele VITA
Self-taught and deeply intuitive, Daniele Vita’s entry into photography was born from curiosity and the tactile magic of the darkroom.
Raised near Rome but drawn by a missing piece of his own Sicilian identity, Daniele moved to Catania to document the ancient, lived-in rhythms of Southern Italy. For him, the camera is a secondary tool to the relationship itself; his work is built on the long-game of trust, often returning to the same communities for over a decade.
Whether sleeping in a car to catch the first light of a procession or sharing a bottle of whisky with "devils" in Prizzi, Daniele seeks the timeless image within the wild west of modern digital consumption. His photography doesn't just observe the rite; it participates in the continuation of the community.
