CHARLES BLACKBURN
Charles Blackburn is a Pacific Northwest–based photographer who blends commercial precision with a fine art sensibility. A BFA graduate from Art Center College of Design, his work has appeared in solo exhibitions including The American Road (Leica Bellevue, 2019) and The American Dream (Caldwell Banker Bain Gallery, 2024), and he has collaborated with clients such as John Deere, Nordstrom, Amazon, and Chateau Ste. Michelle. Blackburn makes photographs that slow time down, shaped by an early life in Southern California and Arizona, where constant light formed the backdrop of his way of seeing. His work preserves a record of places and moments that once were, functioning as a form of urban archaeology, where light and composition transform documentation into art.
